Patrice Mugnier/ACD has created and developed six visual animations sequences in motion design for the Musée de l’Homme in Paris. They are presented as visual inquiries: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going? This commission is in line with the values and mission of the Musée de l’Homme, which consists in articulating scientific knowledge based on original collections with a research centre that embodies humanist values.
The renovation of the Musée de l'Homme has resulted in the complete renewal of the permanent exhibition. The new display is structured around a set of themes embodied in a synthetic manner by six visual sequences designed and produced by Active Creative Design.
The Museum's mission is to articulate a set of original collections with a research centre that promotes humanistic values. The six graphic sequences set the scene for this relationship with simple representations, acting as a series of six visual questions that echo the questioning of Paul Gauguin's famous painting: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?
Each of these animations is presented as a sequence shot produced in motion design and developing a simple visual concept. All of the sequences are synchronised in such a way as to offer a continuous experience to the visitor as they move through the length of the entrance hall.
