Now, while plants are renewing themselves and the animal world is re-emerging with rebirth, humans are under physical and spatial constraints, invited to reflect individually and collectively on how to reinvent ourselves.
Within this context, the arts and the humanities have taken on new importance as designers and producer of innovative social links and other essential resources for developing critical thinking, awakening the senses, and apprehending our world from different angles, thus, in difficult daily lives and with little windows for a joyful outlook.
As societies across the world adapt social distancing and confinement measures - effectively closing their doors - the arts and the humanities are opening new windows.
OPEN WINDOWS is an initiative of Mémoire de l'Avenir and Humanities Arts and Society that proposes to promote and disseminate all form of expressions and works by artists and researchers from diverse backgrounds, in response to the current context, looking to continue to create links in isolation and remoteness situations, while at times also can propose mid or long terms inter disciplinary ideas of collaborations or of solutions towards the coming future.
