During this time of... lockdown, I thought of posting a short video on Instagram and Facebook, based on a photo taken at 2:14 p.m.
Why 2:14 p.m.?
Well, simply because the idea came to me on the 14th (yes, a little before the official date), and at that exact time... That’s all—simple as that!

Representations of places or objects are an integral part of the process of memory accumulation, reflecting humanity’s endless efforts to communicate and to leave traces.

Nadine Comba’s work encompasses diverse forms of expression, from the art of writing to the art of illusion, using various multimedia tools (camera, photo camera, tape recorder, computer, mobile phone...).
She offers unique and subjective approaches—always sensual, humorous, or playful—accessible to the eye, awakening our primal senses, and capturing both our emotions and our rational thinking.

Our gaze meets her images, which awaken our awareness. Her words and images become almost tangible, speaking to the self and to the world, prompting questions about our bodies and senses, and seeking to understand the interactive mechanisms between human beings and their environments.

She brings together a wide range of skills to draw us into her universe: unique shots are used to create intimate compositions that may take the form of animated films, interactive DVDs, creative books, press magazines... Between the lines of her personal journey emerge the many face-to-face encounters of her expressive and visceral work.

Nadine Comba is a committed artist, who uses her skills, sensitivity, and critical thinking as educational tools.
She has developed cultural projects in schools and community centers, and has conducted training sessions and creative workshops with young adults in reintegration programs, in prison, or in specialized education institutions.
She is also the creator of children’s books, published by Éditions Limaille, Éditions Zarafa, and the community-based publisher Gouttes de Plumes.
